Our approach to estate planning is based on the three things that every attorney should do: Listen, Learn, and Create. We pride ourselves on listening to every client's concerns, learning what their goals are, and creating the best estate plan to achieve each client's individual goals.
We offer a wide range of legal services, including drafting Irrevocable and Revocable Trusts, Last Will and Testaments, Power of Attorney documents, Medical Directives, Post-Nuptial Agreements, Pre-Nuptial Agreements, and Marital Separation Agreements.
At Johnson Legal, we believe in treating our clients with respect, compassion, and understanding. We understand that every client is unique and has different needs, and we work hard to tailor our approach accordingly. We know that estate planning is NOT one-size-fits-all.
Attorney Ayana Johnson was born and raised in Dover, Delaware, which is the capital city of the First State.
Attorney Johnson earned her bachelor's degree in criminal justice and philosophy from the University of Delaware. She participated in a study abroad program where she explored the cities of ancient Greece where some of the world's greatest philosophers learned and taught. She then attended law school and later earned her Juris Doctor degree from Howard University School of Law. There, she participated on the Huver I. Brown Mock Trial Moot Court team and served indigent members of the Washington, D.C. community as a student attorney in the Criminal Justice Clinic.
Attorney Johnson spent the first few years of her career as an Assistant District Attorney in Brooklyn, New York, where she prosecuted and indicted hundreds of cases. She later moved on to an estate planning law firm in Maryland, where she had the privilege of learning about asset and family protection through the use of estate planning documents. Further, Attorney Johnson has interned at the United States House of Representatives, at the Superior Court for the District of Columbia, for the Office of the Federal Public Defender for the District of Delaware, and for the Delaware Department of Justice.
